Ski & RV: RV Rentals at the Guaranty RV Travel Center

Mt. Bachelor, Timberline, Willamette Pass— the slopes are finally open in Oregon! In the winter, it’s easy to get bogged down by the drizzle in the Valley or up in Portland, but there are still plenty of opportunities to hit the road for a weekend. Ski vacations are a special winter opportunity, and what better way to take advantage of all the season has to offer than with a RV trip to the mountains? RVs offer the best kind of winter camping: enjoy the outdoors, warm up by an outside fire, but enjoy the luxury of a hot shower, warm bed, and all the hot cocoa you can drink. Don’t own your own RV or travel trailer? No problem, the Guaranty RV Travel Center has a variety of models for rent.

Choosing the Right Model

Right now is the perfect time to head to the mountains in an RV rental. Looking for a romantic Valentine’s Day retreat? How about a fun road-trip to treat the whole family? No matter what kind of adventure you’re looking for, we have an RV for you at the Travel Center. Even if you’re planning to head out this weekend, but don’t want to miss the Superbowl, we’ve got you covered, down to the portable satellite system. If you’re traveling with a group, try the 2013 Newmar Bay Star Sport 3310. With a huge kitchen, bunk beds, and fold-down sleeper dinette, this model has plenty of room for entertaining a large group. Looking for something a little more intimate? Contact us, we’ve got the model for you.

Another great reason to rent an RV is the opportunity to try before you buy. If you’ve been considering purchasing your own RV, renting is a great way to discover which models and features you like best. Investing in a travel trailer or motorhome is a big commitment and should take plenty of thought. Discover your perfect model by renting first.

Preparing for Your Ski & RV Trip

Obviously you’ll want your skis, snowboards, boots, and gear, but you’ll need some other supplies and provisions as well. Even though an RV might feel like your home on wheels, you’ll need to stock it after leaving the Travel Center. It’s helpful to make a list in advance of everything you’ll need for cooking and camping. Packing camping supplies can be a little different than packing for a trip to Hawaii. If you need help prepping for the trip, don’t hesitate to ask our knowledgeable staff. You can even pick up a few items at the convenience store at the Travel Center if you forgot something. Oh and don’t forget to check road and ski conditions before heading out!

Additionally, as much a pain as it is to need to send your vehicle in for repair, you can take the opportunity to get away in an RV. While you’re out enjoying your vacation, let us take care of your car or truck. You’ll find it good as new when you return.

Don’t let the winter daunt you out of taking that much-needed vacation. Head out for the Superbowl, Valentine’s Day, or for no reason at all, but to enjoy yourself. We’re lucky here in the Northwest that, even in winter, the great Oregon outdoors have a lot to offer. Contact us today with questions or to
