The first Pleasure Way Plateau was introduced in 2004. It was powered by the Mercedes Benz 2.7L turbo diesel. 2006 marked the 20th anniversary of Pleasure Way. This is the year they began offering the Plateau on the Dodge Sprinter. In 2015 Pleasure Way introduced the Plateau XL widebody. They now offer three floor plans, covered under their model name titles below. Pleasure Way uses a welded steel superstructure on the XL models allowing for the best structural integrity possible. Even though steel construction is heavier than aluminum they still provide one of the most generous occupant and cargo carrying capacities in the industry.
Pleasure Way Plateau XLMB
The Mercedes Benz sprinter 3500 chassis with a 3.0L V6 BlueTEC 188HP engine in the Pleasure Way Plateau XLMB will keep you clipping along at a good speed, even over the highest mountain peaks. This model has the largest private bathroom that Pleasure-Way offers in the entire model line-up. It spans the entire width of the coach. That is made possible by the Murphy bed feature in this model.
Interior décor has three cabinet colors choices, solid maple in blond or mocha and high gloss laminate in white chocolate slab. Upholstery colors offered are almond and graphite. And countertops are neutral concrete or carbon concrete. The Pleasure-Way Plateau XLMB is 22’ 9” bumper to bumper. A few of the standard interior features for the Pleasure-Way Plateau XLMB are a 32” smart LED TV, Bose sound bar with Bluetooth, USB charging ports, MCD blackout roller shades, 30” X 30” Corian lined shower with glass door, dual 7-inch touchscreen control panels, low profile 11,000 BTU roof mount air conditioner, and Corian table with tripod base. The galley has a 3-way, 6.7 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer two burner cooktop and microwave/convection oven. This Pleasure Way is equipped with a 2.5kW Onan generator with automatic start. There is also a 2,000-watt inverter, 45-amp converter and dual 100Ah Eco-Ion Earth Smart Lithium (LiFeP04) coach batteries.
The Pleasure Way Plateau XLTS
The XLTS is also a 22’ 9” motorhome with the Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 cab chassis. This model has a 24” smart LED TV on a swing out mount, Winegard® Rayzar® Automatic HDTV antenna, USB charging ports, Recessed LED lighting under cabinets and along the roof, hardwood maple cabinet doors and microfiber suede upholstery on the rear walls. The rear sofa has two seat belt so that four people can travel in the XLTS instead of two as in the XLMB. The Polystyrene rigid foam and fiberglass insulation along with the auto-ignite 16,000 BTU Dometic furnace and the 11,000 BTU roof mount Dometic air conditioner will keep the coach the perfect temperature regardless of the weather outside. Interior color choices are the same as in the XLMB. Some of the cab features include swivel seating, cruise control, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, smart wheel functions and rearview camera system. Safety is important to Pleasure Way. Standard safety features include Airbags, collision prevention assist, high beam assist, lane-keeping assist, and tire repair kit with air compressor and repair liquid. Pleasure-Way uses steel-framed roof and walls with Sikaflex bonded fiberglass walls, one-piece molded fiberglass roof, and full-body Glasurite paint.
The Pleasure Way Plateau XLTD
The Pleasure Way Plateau XLTD is available in the same color schemes and blends the versatility of two twin beds with a spacious floor plan and loads of storage. Of course the bed can also be configured into one large bed.
The Plateau XLTD has dual work stations located at the driver and passenger seat that can double as a morning coffee lounge. The private enclosed dry bath with Corian lined, glass door shower is an especially appealing feature of the Pleasure Way Plateau XLTD. The galley features a three-way 4.9 cubic foot refrigerator freezer, two-burner flush mount cooktop, and a microwave convection oven. The large stainless steel sink is under-mounted in the Corian countertop and has a high arc single-handle faucet with pull-out sprayer. Entertainment features of the Pleasure Way Plateau XLDT include a 24” smart LED TV, blue-ray player, Bose sound bar and Wingard Rayzar automatic HDTV antenna. There are also USB charging ports. The 7-inch touchscreen control panel contains tank level monitoring (LP, fresh, grey and black), climate control center with thermostat for the air conditioner, vent, and furnace. This panel also controls the water pump, lighting, awning, and sofa. The coach battery voltage gauge, real-time 12-volt net loss/gain amperage meter, generator start/stop and automatic generator start and DC electrical system diagnostics are also found here. The XLTD has many of the same features as the others but retails for about $3,000 less.
Pleasure Way Plateau TS
The Plateau TS has a layout that features a large bathroom, 6 cubic foot refrigerator, a full-size wardrobe and six feet of counter space in a compact 22’ 9” package. Sitting on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 van chassis with 3.0L V6 BlueTEC engine this Pleasure Way RV for sale has 325 ft-lbs of torque and a seven-speed automatic transmission similar to the XL’s. Inside a rear 24” smart LED TV, Bose sound bar with Bluetooth and Blu-ray player are standard. The galley in the Pleasure Way Plateau TS features a two-burner cooktop, a microwave convection oven and a large undermount stainless steel sink. Full-extension ball bearing drawer glides with soft close are standard on the Pleasure Way Plateau. The Plateau TS has a private enclosed wet bath with hand held shower head, vanity with storage, stainless steel sink, and Corian countertop. The rear lounge of this Plateau has a power sofa with two three-point seat belts, memory foam cushions, and Ultraleather fabric The Pleasure Way Plateau TS has a 2.5kW Onan generator with auto-start feature. It also features a 45-amp converter 30-amp power cord and a Xantrex 2,000 watt Pure-sine wave inverter. Outside there is a Fiamma power awning with LED lights, awning style frameless windows, exterior shower, and Fiberglass running boards with integrated entrance steps. The last of the Pleasure Way models is the Pleasure Way Plateau FL. The FL has two separate living areas that allow for optimal use of the available space. This floor plan will accommodate a wide range of lifestyles with its incredible functionality. In the rear is a power sofa that also serves as the bed. Up front, the captain’s chairs serve as a lounge area. Each area features a mounting position for the innovative Lagun table. Each of the living areas also has a 24” smart LED TV on a swing mount for optimal viewing. This Pleasure Way camper has a 3.8 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer tow burner cooktop and a microwave convection oven. There is a private enclosed wet bath with handheld showerhead, residential-style ceramic bowl toilet with foot flush and medicine cabinet with mirror. The Pleasure Way Plateau FL come standard with a 2.5 kW Onan generator with automatic start, 2,000 wat inverter, DC load center and dual seven-inch touchscreen control panels. Like the other models, the FL also has the Surflo automatic demand water system, Truma AquaGo comfort plus instant water heater and Fiamma power awning with LED lights. Unlike the Plateau TS the Plateau FL has only one TV, but it does have the front driver side work station.
