Dear Team:
I was getting ready to do my email this week and as I was reviewing in my head what I wanted to talk about, I decided instead to just tell you all how grateful I am to work with each and every one of you. Each of you is important to this company, no matter what job you do here. I have told almost all of you at one time or another, we try not to have make work jobs here. We have all of you here because we need done what you are doing, no matter what it is and if we didn’t need it done we wouldn’t have you here.
So don’t ever think your job has no value, they all do and you should take pride in what you do and do it to the best of your ability because ultimately, one of our customers is going to see the results of your work. I am also always warmed by the people you really are. You care about each other, are loyal and compassionate to each other and I am moved every time I hear about you looking out for each other. Maybe I am the only one who has done this, but have any of you ever looked at a person, learned the job they do and automatically assigned a set of personal characteristics to them? I don’t do that any more thanks to one of our former salespeople and if any one of you do that, remember, everyone has a story, and if you know that story, you can never look at them the same way again.
Last, it is always fun to learn what really interesting people you all are. So many of you have shared your interests, passions, hobbies with me and I just love hearing about them. So, thanks for being here, sure not every day is a day in paradise, but compared to so many in this world we are lucky, lucky to be here and lucky to have each other so let’s stick together and continue to be the great company we are.
