We are ready to raise some money for kids! We’ve got our Nike sneakers on, as this is TrackTown USA after all— what better way to experience a run in the town that brought us the first Nike shoe than to wear it as we power walk around the track?
The “track” is the runway of the bustling airport, located just 10 minutes from our showroom in Junction City. Participating in events like these allows us to connect with our fellow community members and have fun while we are doing it.
We stretch tentatively on the tarmac while the rest of the runners do the same and we prepare for the fun run event to benefit children’s charities selected by the Active 20/30 organization. It’s possible that we may have lost to a few 10-year-olds that lapped us, but it was for a good cause! We hope to see you out there next year!
This was the first year of the 5K on the Runway in Eugene at the Eugene Airport.
