On speaking in front of large crowds

Dear Team:

First of all, thanks to all of you who attended the meeting this morning. People ask me if I get nervous speaking in front of all of you, and no I don’t. I feel like I am among friends and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy seeing all of you. Very powerful, we are powerful.

Well early this week, I asked for some good sayings or quotes that have helped you in your life. My intention was to pick a few for this week and then move on, however, I got so many responses and so many good ones, I have decided to include all of them over the course of the next few weeks. As always, I am amazed by what you all tell me about yourselves at these moments, so here are the first ones in the order they came to me. Also, I have not acknowledged the originator of the quote, but only who sent it to me. Great job everyone and thanks.

Ryan Armstrong – “Speak softly and carry a big stick.”

Jason Fairchild – “Treat others the way you would want to be treated.”

Denise Smith – “If you don’t have time to do it right the first time… What makes you think you will have time to do it a second time.”

Kris Carter – “Listen more. Talk less.”

Bob Smith – “Use your abilities to stay focused on your goal. You will succeed.”

Lee Kaufman – “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.”

Marshall White – “Leaders are those who are in service to others.” “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, then change your attitude. Don’t complain. Always try to show the willingness to work harder than anyone else.”

Have a great week everybody.

Ed
