On being associated with a dealership that is recognized as consistently one of the very best

Well, it has been quite a week, and start to November. I just returned from Las Vegas where Shannon, Marshall, Don Fults and I attended the RV Dealers Association annual meeting. I think there were a couple hundred dealers in attendance and this is about the 10th of these I have been to. I know a fair number of dealers, and am familiar with many of the dealerships, and over the years, I have seen parent dealers retire and younger generations enter the business.

As an industry, we are relatively small, I think in total, the entire RV industry ships under 400,000 units in a year, compare that to the 11 million cars that are shipped, and you get a sense of our relative size. Yet all of us there are very serious about our businesses, and are proud of the work we do. During the awards dinner in Wednesday night, dealers are there all dressed up, with their wives or husbands and their kids, and key employees and if they get to get up on stage for a top 50 award you can see the pride with which they accept the awards, and you can hear the other dealers congratulating them on their achievements.

I am proud to be a part of this business, and doubly proud to be associated with a dealership that is recognized as consistently one of the very best. It is thanks to all of you and all your hard work that I get to feel this way, and I want to let you all know, that although these dealers may not know you personally, they certainly know the good work you create here.

Thanks and have a great weekend everyone.

Ed
