Every Dutch Star is 100% custom built and handcrafted because Newmar believes that “Quality Results Take Quality Time”. As evidence, porcelain tile floors extend the length of the coach and into each slide out. Custom options like a jackknife or Fold-N-Tumble sofa, storage ottomans and bunk sofas are just a few of your choices. There is also a number of décor and exterior paint choices including Chatham, Norfolk, Velocity and Wylie. Each is elegant and beautiful. The variety and styles add spice to life!
In the cockpit you will find six-way Flexsteel captain’s chairs with power lumbar, recliner, and footrests covered in Ultrafabric. The heated seats are a fantastic option for cool morning drives. Also, side and rearview cameras are standard on all Dutch Star RVs or you can choose a 360° camera system (with sound) as an option. Rand McNally navigation system is also an option for added confidence in your journeys. Got a tow car? Newmar has added a rear tow hitch and rear protective tow guard.
The 2020 Dutch Star 3709 is the newest floor plan and features a full wall slide, bath-and-a-half, 35-inch radius shower, king size bed and a large vanity in a 37-foot coach. The 2020 Dutch Star 4311 is a handicap accessible RV that is 43 feet long. A power-adjustable kitchen table, roll-in shower, lowered switches and appliances come standard. In addition, the aisles have been widened for wheelchair accessability. The 3736, 4020, 4081 and 4310 all have a rear bath with cathedral ceilings and a half bath in front of the bedroom. Also, each Dutch Star floor plan is prepped for a washer and dryer. They each have a 105-gallon freshwater tank a 65-gallon grey tank and a 45-gallon black tank.
Newmar uses an HWH hydraulic slide mechanism on the full wall slides to ensure heavy duty performance for years. The slide drops into place to make a flush transition with the floor. The smaller slides still have an electric mechanism with locking arms.
You will love the entertainment package in the Dutch Star. There is a 50” 4K TV on a televator in the living area. Bose Solo 5 Soundbar and high definition component wiring. The dash Radio/CD Player with Harman/JBL 180 Watt Sound System and Subwoofer includes a Bluetooth Microphone. In the bedroom, you’ll find a second Samsung LED TV and Sony® Blu-ray Disc player and two bedroom radio speakers.
Making the Dutch Star RV feel even more like home is the well-appointed kitchen. A stainless steel convection microwave, three-burner recessed gas cooktop with cover and a 19.7 cu. ft. brushed aluminum refrigerator allow for extended travel without sacrifice. The Bermuda glazed maple hardwood cabinets have soft close drawers with full extension guides and concealed hinges on the cabinet doors which complement the beautiful polished solid surface countertops. An all electric, flush mount induction cooktop is an option to standard gas. There is also a dishwasher option.
All 37 foot Dutch Star models are built on a Freightliner XCR chassis with a V ride rear suspension. The 40 and 43-foot versions are available on a Spartan K2 or Freightliner XCR tag-axle chassis. Each one is hand welded to the Newmar Star (Strong, True and Robust) foundation. This is Newmar’s exclusive steel superstructure that adds strength, rigidity, and stability to the chassis and delivers a quieter, ride. When you pair that with the Sachs Shocks, Passive Steer tag axle, independent front suspension and V ride, you get the most comfortable ride of any motorhome in this class.
The Passive Steer tag axle is a tremendous benefit on the a 43 foot motorhome and allows a 12° sharper turning radius. That means, from curb to curb, you can turn 16 feet shorter. Newmar is the only RV manufacturer offering Passive Steer tag axles.
The 43 foot Dutch Star motorhomes come with a 10-kilowatt Cummins Onan quiet series diesel generator while the 37 and 40-foot models feature an 8-kilowatt version. A 2000 watt pure-sign wave inverter is installed by the factory and allows “clean power” to reach your outlets without sharp spikes and declines to prevent damage and glitchy peformance to your sensitive electronic devices. Every Dutch Star also includes a Girard G2000 power side awning with wind sensor and LED lighting. Also depending on the floor plan, they include two or three 15M Penguin heat pump air conditioners. The air conditioners are part of Newmar’s Total Comfort System. This system gives the resident full control of the indoor environment. Plus, Newmar motorhomes have a special air conditioner drainage system with integrated gutter rails so you don’t get the unsightly water line on the paint job as you do in some other RVs. Assisting in the climate control of your Dutch Star are the frameless double-pane tinted safety glass windows.
Each Dutch Star motorhome includes standard construction features like Aluminum-frame sidewalls and roof, 16” on center, 5/8” foam insulation laminated sidewalls and ceiling Polar Pak R19 insulation on the roof. In addition, the fiberglass roof has walkable decking. Also standard for the Dutch Star is a power rewind reel with 50’ cord and power rewind reel for the water hose. A 100-watt solar panel also comes installed to charge the chassis battery. The folks at Newmar have added more house batteries than in the previous years bringing the total to six 6-volt instead of four. 6 volt batteries are preferred to 12 volt because they hold a charge longer. Every Newmar is decorated with a full-body-paint Masterpiece finish with clear coat. This is an industry-exclusive coating made with BASF paints. Additionally, the front cap is Diamond Shield Protected. Newmar has also added a stainless steel kick panel at the entrance door to protect the paint.
Some of the optional features include a patio hammock package, On Guard Collision Mitigation Adaptive Cruise System, additional Girard G2000 side awning on the door side, electric radiant heat installed below the main floor tile, four flexible 100 watt solar panels on the roof, Sleep Number R5 radius corner air mattress, fireplace, central vacuum tool kit, Dometic 3.77 Cf. freezer on pullout tray in an exterior storage compartment, a safe located in bedroom wardrobe, MCD power window shades with remote control and an exterior entertainment center in sidewall or storage compartment with Samsung 43” 4K LED TV and soundbar.
