August 31, 2011, Junction City, Ore. — Guaranty had its most profitable month in three years during this past July, according to Ed Morgan, CFO. Both the Chevy Store and the RV Division showed a profit and Morgan feels this is a good indicator that consumers are becoming more confident and showing a renewed interest in RVing.
“Even as Navistar International, the parent company of Monaco, announced its plans to consolidate manufacturing, our dealership is making strides in regaining a part of the momentum we experienced in the 90s,” commented Shannon Nill, General Manager.
“As the first and longest standing retail dealership for Monaco vehicles, Guaranty will continue to offer the full line of Monaco vehicles. While we are disappointed that jobs are leaving Lane County we understand that Monaco needed to make a strategic move to shift part of their motorhome vehicleion to their headquarters in Wakarusa, Ind.
“However, Monaco’s towable vehicle line—which is the largest category within RVs according to current consumer trends—will still be manufactured in Coburg, Ore.,” Nill stated. We will continue to have those in our inventory as they remain a great value for the American’s travel options.”
