November 29, 2011, Junction City, Ore. — Guaranty Discount Chevrolet and RV Super Centers is embarking on a Facebook campaign to raise money for the Junction City Local Aid.
“We know during this season of gratitude and giving, people want to help others,” said Shannon Nill, owner of Guaranty. “This campaign gives us another opportunity to give back to the community who has been supportive of our dealership for the last 45 years while empowering our fans to contribute as well.”
Guaranty is making it even easier for people to help our community. All they have to do is join Guaranty’s Facebook page and “like” them between November 30 and December 16. For every new fan gained, Guaranty will donate $1 to help Junction City Aid raise money to help local families.
“One of the aspects I appreciate most about Facebook is how it can bring so many people together for the common good. Together we can raise awareness as well as funds while making our community stronger,” said Becky Smith, marketing manager at Guaranty.
One hundred percent of the money raised will be used to support Junction City Local Aid. They have been involved in helping local residents for more than 65 years, and are an important part of the Junction City community.
This is Guaranty’s third event held for Junction City Local Aid this year: the first being the “Can Do!” Food Drive with KVAL; the second was the employee-centered Great Rotary Duck Race ticket giveaway; and the third is the Facebook campaign.
The money raised by the Junction City Local Aid provides services to local, low-income residents. These funds help to provide monthly emergency food boxes, energy assistance, medical assistance, bus tokens, clothing and information.
